We all thrive off of routine in our lives. But what about when something unexpected happens and your plans have to *gasp!* CHANGE?!?? You can be as proactive as you want, and plan ahead all you want, but sometimes the universe just feels like throwing a wrench in your day.
Think all those kids who kick and scream in public places are just being “bad”? It helps to understand the difference between a meltdown and a tantrum.
One of my favorite pastimes when I was younger, aside from continuously jumping off of the couch in an attempt to fly, was coloring. I had a tote bag filled just about to the top with crayons. There had to be over a hundred in there. Coloring books were my JAM.
Breathing. Fun stuff, right? Lots of perks to breathing. I, for one, like how it keeps me alive.
But wait, there’s more! Not only does it keep us alive, it can be used as a tool to help us keep our composure in situations where we would otherwise rather be pulling someone’s hair out, and I think that’s pretty important, too.
Our emotions can travel from zero to 60…to 150…and back down to 10, all in the span of a day…
Heck, all in the span of a few hours. So many things can contribute to this fluctuation, almost too many to count. It can take a huge toll on how we function throughout our day to day lives.
Let’s settle this once and for all: There are EIGHT senses. EIGHT, you hear me?
